Is my appliance worth the cost of the Service Trip Charge?
Sometimes, depending on the age and usage of the appliance, it may not be worth the cost of the service trip charge to have a tech look at it. But, you may not be ready to give up. Need more information?
We recommend researching your appliance problem here:
Do you service gas appliances?
No, we do not service gas appliances. Including gas dryers and ovens/stoves/ranges of any kind. This includes hybrid dual fuel ranges (ie. electric ovens with gas cooktops). Please be certain that there is no gas attached to the appliance before booking an appointment.
Do you offer technical support?
No. If you require technical support, you can research your error codes online at applianceserviceinfo.com. Or contact the manufacturer of the appliance directly.
Do you provide warranty service?
Yes, for some manufacturers. All warranty issues MUST go through the manufacturer directly. Contact the manufacturer of the appliance and they will dispatch a technician on your behalf. Please do not contact us directly. If we receive a warranty work order and it is accepted by our technician, we will contact you.
Do you provide same day or emergency service?
We do our best to contact customers as quickly as possible. We deal with very high call volume and same day and/or emergency service may not be feasible. We understand how important an appliance can be and ask for your patience in this regard.
Do you install appliances?
No, we do not provide installation services. All appliances need to be properly installed before a diagnosis for a repair can be made.
We refer all installations to the Home Appliance Installer at 705-928-1457.
Do you provide vent cleaning services?
No, we do not.
Do you accept drop-off appliances?
No.
Why didn’t I receive a call back?
As much as we would like to speak to everyone, we are a small business dealing with high call volume and time constraints. If you do not receive a call back, it is most likely because we do not service your area, or provide the service that you have requested. We are proud to be named “Kawartha Lakes Repair” because we are located in the Kawarthas. Unfortunately, due to its large area, we are unable to service all of the City of Kawartha Lakes. We apologize if we were unable to return your call. If it is because you are out of our area of service, we kindly provide a link below. This may help you to trouble shoot or repair the appliance yourself.
Another option is to call the manufacturer directly. They may be able to help you find a service provider in your area.
What happens if I miss my confirmed appointment?
If a confirmed appointment has not been cancelled at least 24hrs in advance, we reserve the right to charge a $60 missed appointment fee.
We kindly ask that customers do not hold an appointment time unless they are available for the appointment time block. A lot of time and planning goes into the areas we cover. This also takes precious time away from other customers who are patiently waiting as well.
What happens if I want to cancel a part that has already been ordered?
A non-refundable deposit is required to place any part orders with our suppliers. This must be paid in advance. You will not receive the deposit back if a part has been cancelled after an order is placed with our supplier.
